SPF homebred, je suis bernard, aka bernie, is a 2011 traditionally bred irish sport horse by formula one and out of a kildaton gold mare. 17 hds.

bernie's sire, formula one, was imported from ireland as a colt by denny emerson; emerson purchased him knowing he'd make an ideal cross on thoroughbred and lighter sport horse mares. formula one competed in eventing and the jumper ring prior to retiring to the breeding shed. he has a number of offspring competing at the upper levels, most notably, landmark's monte carlo, a gelding competing at the 4* level with lauren keiffer.

Bernie is an agreeable and willing individual that has moved steadily up the levels in eventing. his partnership with sara beth began when he was three, and now at the age of eight, he is competently, and confidently competing at Preliminary, with a year of experience at the level. He won his most recent outing at river glen, leading the division from start to finish, and adding no penalties to his dressage score. He has never had a xc jump penalty.

Bernie will make an exceptional young rider/AA horse for someone looking for a fun, safe and simple ride to bring up the levels. he Could also do jumpers! Wonderful disposition and a kind personality. Easy to have in the barn- clips, bathes, loads on the trailer & stands quietly for the farrier.

Priced in the mid five figures.
